Slight rattle/vibration driver side seatbelt unit

Hi,

I have a MCS. There is a near constant rattle (esepeciall over 2500 RPM) from where the driver side seatbelt comes from - if I jam my fingers in through the trim to the metal it sort-of stops. Anyone else had this?

Mini had the car yesterday and couldnt find the noise... maybe im being a little picky but its loud to me!

Noone else got this one? Mini have replaced the trim and its still there - so I would think others might have it too?

Sorry to hear of your problem. I had a similar noise from the passenger seat belt, and found it was the buckle tapping against the door pillar.

You could try pushing soemthing soft like cotton wool into where the noise is coming from, this might stop it.

DIY seat belt noise

Hi Realevil
Had same problem, dealer could not find noise.
I have found noise and fixed the problem.
Check the sheath around the seat belt buckle, under the sheath there is a heavy WIRE, that is what is making the noise, pull the wire in a different direction,
