Offline | Hot bonnet Is it normal for the MCS bonnet to get very hot, uncomfortable to touch for any length of time, after moderate runs of say 30 miles or at all? note: mparticularly around the air intake. Last edited by ed1947 : Sep 26th, 2007 at 06:30 AM. |

Offline | Bummer. I just took my new R56 with the automatic on a 2-week 5500-mile to Colrado, Utah, Nevada, & Arizona. The only times it ran warm was when I was motoring up mountains and was over 9,000 feet ---- and then it smelled like burnt cat too... A hot bonnet at 9000-14000 feet is okay by me; I don't get to mountains that big very often. The car was flawless the rest of the time. It even surprised me with the fuel economy getting nearly 40 mpg (that's American gallons, now; the little ones) a few times. Safety fast, Bill |
