Well fancy that . From what my service guy said, even though the fan does make a noise, it is nothing to worry about. No need to be put off the Dooper - my fan has probably gone off on average once every 1000 miles.

This morning at 4.30am, trying to be oh so quiet to get the car out to go down to Portsmouth, and as soon as I start the car, wham bam, on comes the Cooling fan!!! 4.30 in the morning when its not even warm outside and the car hasnt been touched?! Doh! Doh! Doh!

I've spoken to my dealer again this morning, and asked him exactly how the manufacturer has fixed this problem; he said it was all down to a fuse problem and all affected models were recalled.

I found the following post on page 1 of this thread....

There was an issue with fuses - but I can't for the life of me work out how a blown fuse will make a fan run at all! ?

I have absolutely no idea whatsoever... but then, I wouldn't do where anything mechanical/electrical is concerned!
