Offline | Cooper D - Cooling Fan on in freezing temperatures Hi, Driving last night this morning in freezing conditions at a gentle pace, the cooling fan is coming on. Sounds like a hovercraft. This can't be right, or is it normal? WipeOut |

Offline | I had this few weeks ago, the temperature was reading about 5oc and I was doing the same journey home that I do every day. I couldn't believe how loud it was! Although it hasn't been on since! 2007 Pepper White/Black - MINI Cooper D ![]() Complete with Go Faster 'Bonnet' Stripes! |

Offline | My other half has had this problem too. Got into cold car, on cool day and drove about 5 miles at 30mph. Why would the fan come on? It really is noisy. My Dooper hasn't had this problem - phew! |

Offline | My Dooper did the same today...was 3 degrees outside, only had a short trip too. Second time it;s done it. It never did it in the 'warm' weather back in Oct. Sounded like the engine was gonna break ![]() Worth getting the workshop to take a look? ![]() |

Offline | In my case, the aircon wasn't on. Just drving the same journey that I do every day at the same speed. I'm pretty certain that I've only heard the fan on twice since I collected the car. 2007 Pepper White/Black - MINI Cooper D ![]() Complete with Go Faster 'Bonnet' Stripes! |

| Dooper Driver! | Mine did it again tonight, temp -1C, had just driven 15 miles on an A road at a steady 50 or so, pulled in for fuel (rare ocurrence on a Dooper I know) and could hear the loud whirring, was just about to pop the bonnet to hear where it was coming from and it stopped. I'm still not convinced it's the fan making the noise. |
