Hi,

Wondering if anyone had any ideas? Recently had problem with AST, ABS and run flat indicator - thankfully got problem sorted by a mini specialist - was ABS sensor.

Now, after two weeks of trouble free motoring and falling in love with my mini again, things seem to being going weird again. (Called EGO due to her reg), got into car yesterday, turned key in ignition and a barrage of bleeping came from rev counter, the digital clock reset itself to zero, the temp gauge jumped to 40 degrees and progressed to do a rapid countdown to the correct temp, and the trip reset back to zero. Rest of the day (i am a district nurse so this is my office) was trouble free (except having to work out my days mileage).

Until today. key fob would not open the car at all. The alarm then starting and could not turn off. Great stranded in middle of nowhere with a days worth of patients to see. Hubby came to bring spare keys - but on getting into car, clock and mileage trip back to zero? Rest of day, no problems.

The original key fob I went to work with is again working. Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreiated - don't fancy getting stranded again.

Just a wild idea: the key fob might not be working because the battery in the key has gone flat.

Just a wild idea though, so might be wrong.

Thinking you may be right. The problem is spoardic - using spare set at mo wait n see if it happens again.
