Reverse Gear on R56...

Does anyone else find reverse gear hard to select??

Ive got a courtesy Cooper at the moment and ive really struggled to engage reverse, sometimes having to use 2 hands

The Dooper I borrowed a few weeks ago was the same, and im worried how im going to get on with it in my own when I pick it up Maybe its just me and my dodgy left shoulder not being able to 'push' on it

I learnt to drive in a ONE D (also with 6 gears) and I always found that hard to get reverse in too

Are they all the same?

not had any probs either you need to go to the gym and do some weight lifting with that left arm of yours Jo failing that, just eat spinach every time you need to reverse

If anything Jo, I find it easier to get it in reverse than the 1st Gen

Maybe it is just you being a "weakling" like you say..

I must admit I found finding reverse a bit tricky when I first got my R56 MCS but you do get used to it after a while. I guess its a safety feature so you don't accidently pop into reverse as you have to put a bit of effort into engaging the gear! Best not attempt any quick 3 point turns until you have mastered it!

I had that particular courtesy car a couple of weeks ago and found reverse gear a bit of a struggle - thought I was just having a weak day LOL
Having said that I've never had any trouble selecting reverse in my S so I'm sure the Dooper will be just fine

Don't mean to add to confusion...but... mine seems loose, rather than tight. I have found myself reversing away from traffic lights... (well, maybe not that bad)
