Offline | Clunky brake pedal and clunky drivetrain Hi, My Cooper is only four weeks and 600 miles old. I've noticed that if you take your foot off the brake quite quickly it clunks quite badly - drives you nuts on cross-country drives. The dealer (Cooper Norwich) says that they all do it. What do you think? I have also had some clutch/drivetrain issues - judder when cold and clunk/slack/driveline shunt when changing up from 2-3, 3-4 etc and rengaging the clutch, but only noticeable on long trips and when engine is hot. Feels like wear in the CV joint/drivetrain, but dealer thinks it is slack in the dual-mass flywheel and says "see how it goes". Anyone else spotted this? Steve |
