Traction Control

Hi all

Has anyone noticed when there traction control kicks in? I've noticed my wheels spin a number of times, but very rarly is the warning light displayed.

My previous SEAT's system was quite aggressive and at the first sign of a spinning wheel would noticably kick in, but I've never had this happen on my MINI Does anyone know if the system is less aggressive, therefore allowing the wheels to spin more before the TC aid comes in?

Thanks

I've never had it kick in yet on my Dooper, even in the wet.

I did make it flicker in a Clubman though! Went to move off from a junction rather quick

I got the Cooper spinning close to the red line at under half throttle on a slightly greasy lane whilst moving - The condition of the road was not anything out of the ordinary - Just been raining the day before! No traction control - So I would have to have TC if it was going to keep doing that!

The traction control of my dooper often kicks in at first andsecond gear.

Just get you foot off the throttle for a sec and everything is allright

I don't believe that when the R56 ASC system kicks in 'lightly', that the ASC light illuminates. I have the R56 MCS and if I turn the ASC system off, I get nothing but wheelspin under full throttle even in a straight line in the dry. With the ASC system engaged, the car accelerates with full traction, no wheelspin, no feeling of ASC cutting power, and no warning light. It only illuminates in the harshest of conditions. This leads me to believe that it does work lightly without letting you know IMHO.
