Brake Disc - Uneven Wear

On my R56 MCS with Works Tuning Kit.

I have just noticed a strange groove ( semi-circular ) worn all the way around towards the outside swept area, but not all the way out. This is just on the drivers side and all my other discs are flat and smooth. Looking back at some pics i took at 3k miles this disc was fine too. Now at 7k, this has appeared. Now at no point have i felt any vibration or grinding noise, so unlikely to be trapped grit.

Is this a fault / soft spot in the disc, and if so is this a warranty claim. I don't fancy having to shell out for new discs and pads at this early stage.

Anybody else had a similar experience

Yeah, in my mind i'm pretty sure it must have trapped a stone or something. It must have happened very recently ( 100 miles or so ) as now it's been washed and the discs rusted, the groove is now rust coloured. It wasn't when i noticed it so must be 'fresh'

It's not affecting braking, but looks horrible

Looks like a set of discs & pads
