Offline | indicator 3 flash problem Picked up our new clubman yesterday. Salesman proudly showed us how you can programme each key fob to set your own preferences for various car features. She went to demonstrate how you can set the indicators to either flash 1 or 3 times when the stalk is lightly pressed and found that the car would only accept a change to 3 flashes from one of the key fobs. The garage tried reprogramming the second fob and the problem still existed. We tried the same on a new Cooper S and that had the same fault. Our previous car was a R56 cooper and I thought there was an intermittent problem with the indicators until I realised that my wife was cycling the key fobs to keep them charged. So it looks like that this problem could be present in all R56 varients. The garage have reported this to Mini HQ and I await a response. Not a major problem I know but something you may have come across on your own car and might have an answer for. Fantastic car all the same. |

| Dodgey, er, dodgem driver | If I have to move the R56, sometimes I'll use the spare key as its easier to grab, and when I use it, all the stereo settings are reset However, the indicator flashes, and other personal settings like radio stations don't change ![]() Welcome to MINI2 aswell Don't let the minor niggles put you off, enjoy the car for what it is ![]() |

Offline | I programmed both keys within minutes of each other. All works fine - both the same. Only thing I've noticed is that the car remembers the last air con temperature used for each key and changes to that setting (I ended up at 18 degrees on a cold winters day using the spare key for the first time since last summer )![]() |
