So yesterday after driving and stopping for 5 minutes, got out the car locked it and then came out the house again, got in and started the car and started to move when the warning light came on that the boot was open Well i hadnt opened the boot , or pressed the buton to open it by mistake.. So the light stayed on and beeped at me, i pulled up down the road, got out and looked at the boot, all ok, so opened it and then closed it again. Light then goes out

How random.. Anyone else had random warning lights like this come on and then never again?

I've had it a handful of times, but only after using the boot. Checking it from the outside the boot looks shut, but open and close it again and the light goes out. I'd get it looked at...

I've had this twice (both after shutting the boot firmly shut) on my 650 miles/3 weeks old MCS. Both times I've had to open and shut the boot to get the message to go.

So far, it hasn't happened again since. If it happens again, I'll take it in to get looked at. Freaky someone else has had the same problem.

Had it happen once on my July 07 MCS after opening and closing the boot, touch wood has not occurred again
