Shaking when accelerating after installing HR springs

Hi guys,

Today I had HR 30 mm lowering springs fitted on my '08 MINI Cooper D at my local auto mechanic (read: not a auth. MINI workshop).

I took it for a test run, and noticed that when accelerating relatively hard (especially in 2nd gear), the front end of the car shakes. It shakes when it is in the low end of the RPM's and eases out when it reaches the higher end. But i'm almost sure that it is not because the engine is under a heavy load.

It didn't do this before the springs were installed.

I had my mechanic take a drive in it, and he could also feel the shake.
He had the car on the lift again, but couldn't think of why it would behave as it does.

The wheel bolts are tight and everything..

HELP!!!

Sincerly
a sad MINI driver

Does this look right?

The left and right side aren't symetric, see the red circles.

Do they make specifc springs for the D?

I think I've seen some issues with vibration on lowered S's on MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring, should be worth a search.

These springs should be OK with the D - the enclosed papers stated that they are compatible.

Thanks for the link.
