That is correct (although my MINI key is on it's own on my keyring so not an issue).

As far as I am aware there will be an "easy access" option, the same as BMW 1 Series (I believe) where you can keep the key in your bag/pocket. Touch the door handle to unlock and enter, and no need to insert the key to start the engine. Then touch the handle again to lock it on your way out.

'option' as in cost option?

It's about £500 on the 1 Series I believe. Although I'm not into BMWs, so could be wrong.

Maybe it will go in with the CHILI pack on the S?

I doubt it but you can hope!

MINI haven't given us any rear seat shots yet. But you can see them on the MINI.com site.

Here's one from the prototype test drive in July.

Indeed! A huge improvement over the current one!

This image of the beige interior is on the MINI.com website not the Newmini2006.com website. If you click on the top dash in the interior you can change the interior to beige and piano black!

I really like this interior!

I think I will go for pacific blue with the twilight and the red or beige for the Nightfire depends which I like in reality!

Roll on 1st October 2006!!!
