Indeed. First job is to make it all make sense to motoring journalists! Weird dial set up, possibly quite easy to use once you get used to it, but it's unatural I tell you!

From the pics, the center speedo makes sense in that the controls are more "level" with your hand coming off the wheel. However, I can run my radio and a/c with my hand on the shifter right now.... and use the MFSW a lot.

iPod adapter, XM Radio, bluetooth with buttons on wheel. Less than $750 (or 370 pounds) please....

You can have my MINI when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

Ahh yes... but BMW in their cunning plans are bound to have made the gap 20mm to narrow for a DIN1 unit

Since the stereo is integrated, how can you upgrade it?

Well, the upgrade will be tough... but it will be extra hard on any feckers who try to steal the radio.

Like my worrying about the sat nav, i'm sure that things will turn out great

In addition, the R52 convertible that continues to be produced will have Aux Input fitted in the glovebox as standard, starting with September builds according to this document: http://motoringfile.com/files/MINI_S...06_Changes.pdf

If you do decide to buy one Mikey get in quick with a Laser Blue before BMW find out
it is popular so decide to stop offering it .

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs

There's always a glove box install.
