Everytime I see the new car, especially the interior I like it more and more.

Just one thing though, what is the quality of the plastics like. I only ask because I was reading the preview on (ahem) AutoExpress and in the picture of the hole to put the key there are loads of scratches obviously from where ppl have missed the hole.

Looks like keyless go might be the way forward....

The cars we drove in the Netherlands were not fitted in the finilised plastics, they were cheap and quite nasty (despite one report I read saying they had improved them?!?). However the finished article is clearly much better quality. Not many people on here will have first hand experience of them, and those that do cant probably say so!

However (now I think of it), the boot space was much better as it was all carpeted, none of the "EzScratch" (tm) plastic materials around the edges, which is a big improvement in my book!

Seems hard to tell if the interior is higher quality than the R53... will have to wait and see a finished car in the flesh.
