Swiveling Seats

I went to the dealer today to get more information about the 2nd gen Mini and the salesman told me that the Mini will eventually have swiveling front seats. Just wanted to share this, as it doesn't seem to have been mentioned yet.

I think your dealer has their wires crossed. The only sign of "swiveling seats" I've seen are the in the MINI Convcept (Traveller), I've seen nothing to indicated these will make it on to the MINI.

That why I said "eventually". However, I checked the UK website and it says the new Mini will feature an "easy entry function" - whatever that means.

That's what I'm saying, I very much doubt they will make production, even though they've been shown on the concept. It is just that, a concept. The actual traveller will be quite different.

"Easy entry" is something completely unrelated.

I'm guessing the easy entry function is the keyless entry with the fob and start/stop button.

Isn't easy entry the fact the seats tip and slide forward to make entry to the rear
easier? I notice they don't claim easy exit, that is borne out by it being easy to
shove my dad in the back of the Mini but half an hour to haul him back out .

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs

The Keyless entry is called Comfort Access System as far as I am aware.

Not sure what easy entry function is TBH.

Easy entry is an option that exists on the current MINI also... yet not many people know about it!!

Walk up to the car and unlock as normal. Then double press the open key again. When you open the drivers door, the window fully drops allowing 'easy entry' in tight gaps.

Alternatively you can open the door then double press the unlock key.

This differs to 'comfort opening' which lowers all the cars widows and opens the sunroof (plus the full hood on convertible) by holding down the unlock button.

It's an option that is programmable by the dealer

That's pretty nice, can't wait to try these types of things when I get my 2007.

By the way, could someone show me the way to a forum or file somewhere that lists the programmable options that are available but not necessarily implemented.
