| MINI Traitor | Interior space / legroom I read the following on the Wilkpedia entry about the R56. The so-called 'Mk II MINI' is three inches longer than the 'Mk I' in order to provide some much-needed rear legroom. If it really has 3 more inches that have been given to legroom that would be a real plus for tall parents with two children like ourselves As we all know, three inches can make a big difference So, my question is, has all the three inches gone into cabin space or has it been lost along the way? Clubman less.... ![]() |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | As far as I was aware the extra length is for crash protection and pedestrian safety. The chances are though that the redesign may have released a little extra legroom in the rear but I wouldn't get your hopes up. If you want more legroom, wait for the Clubman. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

| MINI Traitor | Good point, and I am following it. However I'm quite concerned about the cost. The MINI is already overpriced in Aus. To give you and idea, a chilli S is 5% more expensive than a 5 door Golf GTI. I can't imagine what they would try and charge for it. Clubman less.... ![]() |

Offline | It's grown, but not to increase interior space. The boot space is larger, and of course the overhang at the front is a little larger too. Interior space has been improved, but that's mostly due to shuffling of the interior parts, not because of the exterior growth. |
