Brushed alloy - same as before?

Visited my local dealer today to deliver my requirements for my sparkly new MCS. Among the options I had picked was brushed alloy interior trim. However, when dealer showed me brushed alloy actually installed in a car, it looked far, far darker than in the brochure. So different, in fact, that I changed my mind on the spot. Now what I'd like to know is: Is brushed alloy different - i.e. lighter - for the new car? Also having big problems selecting what to go with Pacific Blue seats and colour line. Can I get a match for headlining, door panels, etc?

from what we can make out from the information so far is that the new Brushed Alloy is actual alumium, rather than the current allow patina which is a plastic made to look like aluminum.

So my guess would be that it is lighter than the patina finish.

Thanks, Rakey - I may go back to it then! At the moment dealer has as much idea as I do - like, none!

worth seeing what Paul has to say on the subject, and looking at some of the pics from the Paris motorshow

I know I'd be ordering it in certain colour options, it looks lovely
