Sunroof

Yay or Nay??? I have a sunroof in my current car and hardly ever use it, I'll only use it when I'm out cruising the streets when it's sunny out (Southern California to be specific). So most of the time I guess you can say it's inactive, but it's nice to let some light in every once and a while.

I'm ordering it. Have it at the moment, use it all the time and it lets loads of light in the car..

If you can afford it and would like it, go for it.

Nay. Lighter, stiffer and lower center of gravity without it. Wallet will be heavier for something else. Drive somewhere, park the car and take a walk to get some sun if you must.

Haha. Where abouts stateside do you live??? I use my roof ever so often, most of the time I barely have anytime to think to put it back while i'm driving. Nice to have but by no means necessary.

I don't have a sunroof in my car, but guys told it makes additional unpleasant noise on the bad roads, especially when it just slightly open.

I agree with inomis, nay. My wifes Mazda has a sun roof and we very rarely use it, and we're in sunny california.

When you spec the sunroof on th R56 do you get two (as in the pics) or do you specifically have to order two?

The sunroof has two opening sections as standard, though I believe the rear one only tilts.

Motoringfile have higher res pics of the sunroof and whens its open the bit of plastic that pop up have been replace by a net.

Hopefully it should be a fair bit quieter than the old roof.
