Integrated Stereo

Will it put you off ordering an R56?

Just wondering as a few people seem to be still posting about not been able to change the stereo.

Its only a forum you know!

Not at all, I actually like the idea of an intergrated stereo

Someone mentioned maybe installing other stereos where the CD changer goes above the glove compartment. Maybe this could be used to intergrate aftermarket stereos? I don't mind as I'm not that fussed about aftermarket stereos. I prefer the look of intergrated controls.

Not a big issue for me , standard stereo will be more than enough , I usually listen to the radio anyway and at my age hearing is not 100% by now so doubt I could appreciate real high quality, would be a waste of money.

Historically it has been the first mod to a car I have done. I have now done the whole ear bleedingly loud thing previously on cars so don't feel the need to anymore, especially with the optional sound upgrades available which are of a decent standard these days.

Was more than happy with the H/K system and have opted for the hi-fi upgrade on my R56. Not bothered about after-market units as they rarely look at home in most new cars. Would prefer to have matching switchgear. Acoustics of cars are not the best so no point for me in going too mad, have decent home system instead.

I'm really looking forward to getting the Hi-Fi system. After having two convertables in the household anything would sound better! AND if the rumours are true is still HK

DJing in clubs with big sound rigs don't help much.... makes most cars sound tinny.

(The sound in convertables is rubbish... even more so with the roof down)
