I am sure I read somewhere in one of the forums of a cover that goes in the boot of the BMW Mini so that when the back seats are down the whole surface is flush and at one level this is also giving some additional security as it provides a hidden storage space under the cover. I can't find the reference to it. Can anyone help.

This company also apparently do one: Newton Commercial: Leather interior trim designs for the new Mini But it looks like a bit of a poor fit?!

I've got one in my '03 Cooper - will go and take some photos for you later on

Edit: just spotted that this is in the R56 area - there is a box available for the R56 as well, will try and find the picture I've got of it.

Finally got the pics of my boot box, sorry for taking so long

When the rear seats are folded down the "floor" is then completely flat - very handy

I believe the R56 box is very similar, but the cover is anti-slip on one side and a big union jack on the other..

For pre R56 cars its part number is

51 47 0 009 039
