United-Kingdom MINI cooper Chili Pack Door elipse colour

Hi Guys,

First post...

Ordered my first MINI on launch day with following spec:
MINI Cooper
Chili pack
Lightning blue w/ white roof and mirror caps
Pacific blue color line
Blue ray cloth sport seats
fluid silver interior surface
visibility pack
16" 7 spoke

What I want your help on is with Cooper + Chili do the door elipses come in fine white silver? I ordered the fluid silver just for the silver door elipses but think £110 is a lot for that, when i could drop that and stump up an extra £60 for the MFSW! that is great with the CC feature.

Also is that to much blue inside??? I am thinking all grey/silver/black interior, what u think?

Thinking of changing spec to this tomorrow so help needed quick:
MINI Cooper
Chili pack
Lightning blue w/ white roof and mirror caps
Pacific blue color line > ASC+T + £20
Blue ray cloth sport seats
fluid silver interior surface > MFSW + £60
visibility pack
16" 7 spoke

Welcome!

Have you used the online configurator to see how it looks? Might be worth a try.

Welcome to MINI2 esxollie

Firstly may I say thats an excellent colour choice you have gone for, I have exactly the same on order myself

To answer your question I don't think that the door elipses do come in Fine Silver with the CHILI pack. When you spec it on the online configurator the door elipses stay carbon black, so it looks like you would need to spec the Fine Silver dash to get the silver door elipses. I agree with you though it is a lot of money just to change the colour of these.

Personally I have never seen the blue seats & dash, but I can't imagine it would be too much. It depends if you would rather have ASC then I guess its an easy option to drop.

MFSW is a great addition if you can afford to add it.

If you go for the fluid silver dash the door ellipses will also be fluid silver. But if you skip that option and just go for fine white silver the ellipses comes in black. Little tacky and plastic but IMO it looks quiet nice. In your case with the blue interiorline it probably would be great.

I thought the standard door elipses looked cheap compared with the other parts of the door.

Worth ordering a finish like fluid silver as both the dash and door elipses will match and look smart!

Car sounds great - congrats.

Thanks all for your input on that. I have decided (for now) to leave as is. Just hope that the lightning blue is going to look classy'

Well they do. But not as cheap as I thought. And the only way to get black elipses if uou don´t want the piano.
But anyway I would definitely pay the extra cost for fluid silver.
