why cant they be bought and installed afterwards? I spoke to Mini

and they told me I can only install an aftermarket kind like Garmin

well, Garmin have exclusive contracts with BMW and MINI for aftermarket portable GPS units.

it'd be a big job to put the builtin system in after the cars built !

does BMW sell Garmin? or would it probably be cheaper to by from another store if BMW sell it

and how is the garmin nuvi 300?
