Anybody have any idea what the std radio BOOST is like ie how bassy, clear, and whats MW and LW reception like? Any replies are greatly appreciated. Thanks again, Ollie Tebbutt.

I'm not allowed to answer that question in case any of the New MINI Severns are watching.

I said I thought the new standard audio was O.K and they all laughed at me!

From what i've heard on here and from my brief listen on my test drive i would say its worse than on the first generation minis.

That is annoying as the one in the "old" MINI is nowhere near as good as the stock one in my VW Golf

Not as good as the old Boost, more tinny, hollow sound I'd say.

Definately not as good as the old BOOST. It gets slightly better if you tweak the settings and crank up the bass, but there's still less detail to be heard.

I suppose it works quite well with 1920's Jazz.

It all went wrong when they moved away from the rear 6x9's in the Cabriolet deigns. I'll be interested to hear the new system though. Hi-Fi is a hobby of mine, so it'll be good to listen critically - I've never heard any system in a car that was accurate, but at least they should be fun.
