Offline | MiketheMini, I am looking to do some stereo upgrdae and since I live way over here I thought I would pick your brain alittle. Just a few questions. I have seen alot of your posts and not seen these questions/answers. 1. Your pics you just posted, are those 16.5cm/6.5" in the bottom of the door? 2. The amp that's in the boot, is this the only amp? If not, where is the other one? 3. If there are two, which amp controls what? 4. Do all the speakers have crossovers in them? Could we eliminate the crossovers if we wanted to. 5. Are you splicing the wires to connect to the new speakers you are installing or have you noticed if the connectors going to the speakers happens to be something Mini/BMW has been using for a few years now? Hope you have a few minutes to get back to me, would appreciate it. ![]() DyeLooper Last edited by DyeLooper : Apr 2nd, 2007 at 02:09 PM. Reason: Screwed Up! |

Offline | DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO MIKEY THE MINI - as he will spend all day texting you pictures of the carnage he enjoys creating with your beloved car BUT it was worth the torture, every little bit of it Can't get this big grin off my face. Speechless, oh and a bit hard of hearing too after a 2.5 hour drive home with my new audio system! Stacks of bass, stacks of power, loads of depth, you name it it's there. Can you tell I'm pleased?!! Credit where it's due, Mikey you're a legend, and such a nice guy with it Thank you so much ![]() |

Offline | I'm a trusting kinda soul, me I researched the subject extensively (which included contacting Mikey, you and a myriad of other people!) and decided it was the best option for what I wanted. Still took a big risk by my standards as I had no idea how it was going to sound or whether it was going to be what I wanted but I just had this feeling everything would turn out right. And boy it did! Still grinning! Thanks for your help Lordy ![]() |
