Pure Silver New Mini Sports Steering Wheel + Paddle Shifters (picture?)

Hello and than you for the informative site.

I just ordered my first mini (never drove one until this Monday). It seems to be the only car in which I could fit (I am 6ft7") with decent headroom and comfort.

Nevertheless - it is one of the first R56 to be imported in US (and noone saw them here yet at the dealership so the details are scarce).

I ordered the basic (silver) MINI with the Sports Package and the Automatic/Manual Transmission (Agitronic?). No Premium Package (anything with moonroof mahes the headroom shorter with 2 inches and I don't fit in the car anymore).

I would really appreciate if someone can shed a bit of light:

- does the Sports Steering Wheel option (300$) have the radio controls on it - or it is just the leather and the paddles that are different?)
- talking about paddle shifters - can someone point me toward a picture? I could not find one in the last 2 days since I ordered it with the 2007 Agitronic paddle shifters +/- the new sports steering wheel?
- (a picture of the new start ignition button - and its placement) would be also appreciated).

I have thousands of other questions (new mini anxiety!) that will pop up - certainly - until the mini is delivered (on the 19th...) but I'll start with these.

Thank you so much for your help,

Adrian

(8 days until MINI landing! - Pure Silver Metallic Cooper, Cloth Checkered Carbon Black Upholstery, Sport Package , STEPTRONIC automatic transmission, sports leather steering wheel, black roof/mirrors, rear fog lamp)

Hi,

The Sports Steering Wheel does not come with the radio/cruise control function - you will need to have ordered the Sports Steering Wheel with Multifunction to get those added goodies.

Sorry, don't have a picture of the paddle shifters but they are fitted as an attachment on the steering column and are awesome fun! If you have the Mini brochure for the R56, its on page 81 (Part number 6 11 056 101 21(L) 2 2006)

The start button is located next to the key ignition slot - again, on page 74 of the brochure.

The Sport Steering Wheel is the 3-spoke Leather steering wheel. The Multi Function Buttons (MFSW) are extra (at least in Europe) and it is mandatory to have the Sports Steering in order to get the MFSW.

Here you can see a pic of the Paddles allong with MFSW (and on the right of the wheel is the Start/Stop button):

Unfortunately I have no brochure for the MINI R56. I bought the car without even seeing it. (i.e. the 2007 model - or any printed info). :-)

Thank you for your help,

Adrian

The paddle shifters come standard with Automatic Transmission. Adding on the multifunction steering wheel is extra.
