how do I increase my treble with the MINI HI FI system? Can I simply add a better Tweeter to the system as it appears to be missing that essential clarity at the high end. I miss my HK,....

High Level Inputs

Hi

i take it theres no RCA outputs anywhere on the back of the Radio Boost - and high level inputs come straight from the speaker loom?

Audiocontrol do a converer that changes the high level speaker level input into a clean low level RCA output. It is about £130 so i presume much more sophisticated than the cheapy line level converters. I think it is called the LC6i. Does anyone have experience of these and do you think it will make for higher quality sound when used with an aftermarket amp.

Also, whats this about a fiber optic converter?? When this due and who from - Mikeythemini?

Cheers, Rogan

a friend of mine has used a couple of different high level to low level converters from a few different companys, and does recommend one brand, its just i cant remember who that is! but never time i see him i will ask!

the fiber optic converter should be with us sortly, and once its trialed on my mini (due first week in june) i can tell you more about it! a friend has heard a test unit and says hes impressed (not sure on the car it was fitted)

HI mikey, just been wondering about your rear package (2). If you don't have to open the dash to get at the headunit what do you connect the amp to, is it just through the speaker wiring or what. and does it come with fitting instructions?? thanks rochie

today bought some High Level Converters for £6.99 each from MotorWorld.

i'm going to take a feed off my factory rear 6x9's through the converters to a kenwood amp and run a pair of JL AUDIO Dual Voice 10W3 -D4 subs bolted to the back of the rear seats

Are you replacing the 6x9's? disconnecting them or fitting filters?

With this package it takes its inputs from the rear speaker wires & uses signal sensing so doesnt need a turn on wire fitting

I use some of their stuff but they are very fustrating - they advertise stuff that is not available - like any of the products for the R56 that they say are out - actually are not - I ring them every week & am still waiting

clubbin it

Hi Mike
Just traded up to an 08 MCCS and intending to fit the parrot evo kit I got from you that was fitted in my 05 checkmate.
a couple of brief questions
1 can I use the evo kit as is or do I need another interface, new car has boost old car had boost.
2 I would like to upgrade audio and I already fitted 350 watt rears so would like to buy a partial kit from you = front speaker set + crossovers + amp + spaggetti can you do this?
3 is it possible to get dash dissassembly instructions for this job
Many thanks
