When was your car built? They have only just become available with the Storage Pack in the last couple of weeks. Before that the CHILI pack was cheaper to reflect the fact it didn't have the storage pack.

Mrs Moo's MC came through without the Storage Pack (we paid the higher price for the chili pack) and the dealer is refunding £120 no questions asked. I would "have a word" with the financial guy!

Can you confirm if Sports Supension (or is it SS+) is now part of the Chilli pack as this didnt show up on my invoice either...

Sports Suspension (there's no such thing as SS+ anymore) is not part of the CHILI Pack on the Cooper S, but is a no-cost option with it, so it should have shown on your order and invoice with £0.00 next to it as a specified item with no charge.

Chances are, if it isn't on your order at least, you haven't got it!

Think the car was built 11th Jan 07, so guess it wasnt available then. They checked today and it wasn't on the spec of the car under chilli pack

It's not really a dumb question.

The Storage Compartment Pack is now an integral part of the CHILI Pack, and cannot be 'left off' so, if you have just ordered a car that has yet to be built, you will be getting it.

I can't see how your dealer only managed to charge you £1,875, as the configurator they use to generate orders is centrally updated by MINI and is always up-to-date.

£1995 was paid at the dealer, shame it didn't come with the storage compartment.

In which case your dealer owes you £120 for charging you the new price of the CHILI Pack even though your car was built when the old price still applied.

I configured my car in november though, and signed the docs with the price on them.

Maybe he slipped in a price hike in one of the endless phone calls to verify my spec!
I didnt notice the price go up though but hey its about 1/2% of the price so how would I notice

Regardless of what you signed back in November, you will be charged the new price for the CHILI Pack to reflect the increase in standard specification between ordering and the car being built.

I took delivery of my car on the 9th March and orginally had the storage compartment pack ordered seperately, My dealer told me when we finalised the order late January that it was now part of the Chilli pack but when our car arrived we did not have the Storage compartment pack which I mainly wanted for the 12V power in boot. We were charged
£ 1,875 for the chilli pack so that is why we didnt get it but my orginal order which the dealer changed when we changed the colour and added clear lights had the storage compartment pack on it.
The madness of BMW (had this issue with my 5 series) is you cannot retrofit a 12V power socket!

Given the price went up specifically to cover the addition of the storage pack you ARE entitled to a refund!

Check your invoice. CHILLI pack went up from £1875 to £2000.
