Hi All, I got my new R56 Cooper on Saturday and When looking over it discovered that there was no Storage pack, which was on my order in with the Chili pack!

When I asked why it wasn't on the car they replied with firstly, they didn't know why, then that they hadn't been put on any cars because it wasn't ready yet!!!!

I replied with the fact that I had paid for it, because of the increase of the Chili pack when the Storage pack was added.

They offered to retro fit it but I'm unsure whether I really want the dashboard to be taken apart for such a small extra!!

They offered to give me another option for free in its place, at the time I thought of the ipod cable but is there anything else anyone recommends!? and has anyone else got their storage pack?

Yes people already have the storage pack. Personally if I'd ordered/waited for that specifically I'd want it fitted either by the dealer, or order a new car to the spec your actually wanted.

Yep - I had to pay extra for the Chili pack that supposedly included the storage pack. It took me a couple of days to realise that it wasn't on the car ! ! ! I was about to go back to my dealer when lo and behold I got a letter from the dealer apologising and a nice cheque for £120

I doubt the storage pack is not worth the extgra £120!

I have the storage pack on mine. It consists of the Cubby space on the dashboard above the glove box, extra storage nets in the boot and one on the transmission tunnel together with the back seats which are adjustable for rake.

To be honest, i could do without it and at the moment its causing a problem with the fitment of the Ipod Interface.

This is weird!
I jsut picked up my new MCS yesterday and dispite NOT ordering the storage pack - I ahve been given it (maybe I got Porkpies). I havent checked to see if I have the extra dash storage but I have footwell and seat nets and in the boot 12v socket and 3 nets.

Maybe MINI changed the specs to include these "storage bits" in with the Chilli pack???

I never got storage nets in the boot with mine? got storage nets on the bk of front seats and i got the storage place because i got the cd changer there?

Oh, you get all this + the 12V socket in the boot. Think I am going to have to take back my "not worth £120" statement

It might have been better to keep this as a separate option though than throwing it in with the(already expensive) CHILLI pack.

It only recently became part of the Option Packs, so unless you specifically chose it you wouldn't have got it.

And don't worry, it isn't free now, so you haven't missed out!

I'm gonna try my luck and see if they'll fit me some kind of bluetooth, might be wishful thinking!

Hey pepperoni man, don't accept the £120, say you really wanted the storage pack and that they have broken the're contract by not giving you the car as you specced it! I did and they are working out some kind of compensation or fitting something to a higher value than £120. Remember you are in a position to reject the car and that sworth more than £120 to them!

Because it is now an integral part of the CHILI Pack, so would not have shown as a separate option on your invoice.

After reading this thread yesterday I went and check the missus car and there is no extra storage comparment in the dash, as specced with the chili pack. This is prob because its a car from the showroom, but you still should get it if you've paid for it or something back instead.

She's phoned Mini to tell them and the first reply from the financial guy was it won't make the value of the car any less??? guess he think that they shouldnt give us any money back..

anyway gotta try get something else out of them, I thought this sale was going to be smooth....wrong.
