Offline | Yes - but only if you have Voice Control option fitted to your MINI. All the Multi-function steering wheels come fitted with the button as a cost saving messure. If you are not sure whether you have it or not - press the button once. If you hear beep; that will be the indication that you have it installed and that you can now speak the command. |

| MINI2 Regular | This thing is hard to master, say you want to dial a number you have to say all the numbers in a row without stopping or it normally gets it wrong when you start again, I think you then say 'call' or press the little phone button on the wheel. I haven't tried changing the radio yet. |

Offline | To make a voice dial call you can either record your phone book or dial a number, i didn't know you could change channels on the radio by voice because you've got the arrows on the MFSW. Sorry if I'm telling you things you already know |

Offline | The problem might also be that you have the Voice Control option on your MINI but NOT the Bluetooth Telephone Prepration option. Do you have an armrest between the two front seats? If so look to see if you can see a wire running up the base of the armrest or when you slide it open can you see an additional button inside the armrest (to the front). If you have the armrest and button then you have the Bluetooth Telephone Prepration and should be able to voicedial. If you are still unsure may I suggest that you visit your local MINI dealer. They will be able to tell you what you have fitted on your MINI from what they have on their systems. Hope this helps. ![]() |

Offline | OK great. Lucky you then... I suppose... £200 saving .When you get stuck and do not know what to answer say "Options". She will then go trough the list of commands that she will react to at that moment. If you have SatNav you can use the toggle switch to guide yourself to a specific point before using Voice Control - although that defeats the purpose to some extend. ![]() |

Offline | The MINI has a separate phonebook from the phonebook on the mobile. You have to save the numbers to the MINI by "recording" it with your voice. ![]() The car can then dial any saved number on any mobile that is paired with the car. |

| MINI2 Regular | I've just checked this out on my car. I never specced voice control and only have bluetooth and not sat nav and I can voicedial from the car. Press the button on the MFSW and then say the commands. I have just saved 3 of my most dialled numbers by pressing button, saying 'save name', speaking the number out and then saying 'save'. It works perfectly. Added bonus for me. |
