Offline | More info from the dealer. The Indicator has an on/off button. It comes with 4 types of presetting for the type of engine. No details could be given on this. Besides this it has 16 settings you can chose from depending on the max revs you shift on. However there also is an advise setting for each MINI for the maximal revs setting. No advise presetting is mentioned when using JCW kit. |

Offline | I really don't see the point in fitting one of these unless you like gimmicks! The golden rule of when to change gear has always been the same, and still applies now. For maximum performance and engine efficiency, you always change up gear so the rev' counter after changing rests on or about the engines max torque rpm figure. This will vary depending on the make of car and engine....the vehicle handbook should quote the rpm figure. What I think is useful, is a gear indicator gauge especially with 6-speed gearboxes. |

| MINI2 Master | for a track day these are great as sometimes the only indication you get to change up is the rev limiter, so something you can set to your own increments is great, and best of all i assume it is switchable liek the original R53 version, off for day to day, on for silly time, or to make your car look like kit out of knightrider.....lol still prefer the R53 positioning though |
