Offline | I already have a NUVI 250, so it'll be interesting to see whether the same fitting kit works and whether they'll install it separately. Paul |

Offline | So far, I am heartily UNimpressed... "Tweaks" in the display are not worth the dealer uptick. I can customize the startup display on my Gamin Nuvi 350 - in fact, my cat is who appears to greet me on startup... Were it integrated into the sound system, so that it would mute the radio, THAT would be useful, but I see no reason at all to pay extra for the paltry "customized features" I read about here. I had the OEM unit in my first MINI, and decided that there was just far too much upside to having a portable, so my second has the chrono pack there instead. I DO like my Nuvi - best thing about it is how perfectly compact it is. That is why I bought it over all the others that I have used and researched (and that's a LOT of 'em!) it's got plenty wrong with it too, but plenty that is very good. For an incredibly simple, nearly invisible, no damage to or taking apart of the dash, cost-free installation idea, check my post here: (See "My preferred way", as I offer two sub-second alternatives...) Offline | That's exactly what I do, you can also make sure the wire is tucked under away from feet if you reach behind above where you legs go there's a piece of plastic you can "clip" the wire too. Very neat. ![]() |

Offline | Just asked the dealer about this. They said it should be available in a couple of months, and adapters will be available to enable other Garmin models to be fitted. So existing Garmin owners (like myself) should be OK. They also confirmed approx £1500 fitted for the stage 1 Works kit. Paul |

| MINI2 Master | According to the BMW official Pdf installation guide the part nubers listed for this kit are: 65 90 0 429 056 65 90 0 429 058 I don't know whether one is LH drive and the other RH drive or what, but dealer said the later one is listed at £521.00 retail and the first no. isn't available. Don't know what the second one is either ( i.e. fitted / not fitted, LH / RH or just plain wrong ! )Paul, Any chance of clearing up when this kit will be available for UK market and which number is correct ?. | MINI2 Master | Confirmation from dealer that part no. 65 90 0 429 058 is indeed the correct part no. and the retail price inc VAT but not fitting is.................................£521.39 ![]() They list the same Garmin 360T with windscreen mount at £379.00, so nearly £150 premium to bin the suction mount and cigarette power socket and manufacture the rev counter mount. Neat installation..............................stealer price tag. ![]() 06 HB/W MCS Chilli |
