Offline | Rec, My parts fellow can't find the part number for the mount; do you have it yet? And am I understanding that if I buy the mount and have it installed by my dealer that I can buy the generic nav unit from a local retailer and use it that way? Thanks. Safety fast, Bill |

Offline | That's a shame, particularly if it costs ~£500 fitted (~£450 parts). Didn't you mention a pricing adjustment, though? I'd be interested in the bracket-only option so any info about that would be welcomed! Thanks for the details. |

Offline | Ummm...uhhhh...isn't part of the considerable price hike to provide considerable value-add AND to offset your "considerable amount of effort" in providing that value-add? I like my Nuvi 350 a great deal. It has great features. And it has serious flaws. They ALL have serious flaws. Choosing a nav is an exercise in compromise. I studied and used many before settling on my own best compromise. Why can't the manufacturers design useful systems that do nav reallly well - forget the mp3 and photo display. Good grief! BTW, I have an absolutely perfect, free, uunobtrusive, non-cutting-into-or-gluing-onto-the-dash mounting system - see my post with pics early in this thread. ...............................T somewhere near Candlewood LakeChili Red/White CooperS Ragtop, formerly Chili Red/White MCS ! |

| MINI2 Master | [quote= BTW, I have an absolutely perfect, free, uunobtrusive, non-cutting-into-or-gluing-onto-the-dash mounting system - see my post with pics early in this thread.[/quote] While i agree that this MINI portable nav may be a little overpriced ( although with discount i can get it for £371 ) it is worth it in my opinion ( and my needs ) to avoid just this kind of install with wires showing all over. Nuvi 360's cost around £270 so £100 for bracket and power leads. A power lead from Mikey costs £40 so £60 for bracket aint that bad is it. I'm sure people will eiher be able to use it on their next Mini or sell it on for a fair price too. JMHO ![]() 06 HB/W MCS Chilli |

Offline | I shall attempt to believe that yours is not the prevailing attitude at Garmin. I am sure that most of you do understand that unfortunatley, it is the custoemr who actually buys your product. Hey - I complimented the product, bought one, but I wil not pretend that it is perfect. ...............................T somewhere near Candlewood LakeChili Red/White CooperS Ragtop, formerly Chili Red/White MCS ! |

Offline | I think you're a cool guy, Rec. Part number yet? And would the mount work for the Nuvi 350 as well? I'd like to get something soon; we're planning a little trip to AZ, UT, & CO and will probably motor about 7,000 miles in two weeks through some desolate areas... Safety fast, Bill |

| Not a happy bunny. | These are the part numbers R56 RHD EU Install Kit - 65 90 0 428 502[/ R50 RHD EU Install Kit - 65 90 0 428 503 You may find that your dealer does not know about these brackets. We have raised the issue with BMW UK, and they were looking into ranging the bracket. I would argue your local dealer to put pressure on the head office, if they wish to supply, they could even quote the BMW part number starting with 65. Offline | My dealership isn't close or easy to work with. But at least they're not very good as well. I opted for the Nuvi 350 and put it on a Kuda mount. Thanks for the recon work though, Rec. It's a pity that local support is often lacking. I'd rather have a head cold than visit my dealer... ![]() Safety fast, Bill |
