Offline | Can I fit my R52 JCW seats to the new R56? I'm not sure if the floor pan is different to the first generation Mini, I don't want to be ripping these seats out only to find they don't fit! If anybody out there knows (which I'm sure they will) post your reply Many thanks Rams |

| Remember | No in simple terms As the R56 JCW seats have air bags, the old seats don't and there is no option to have these deactivated as far as I am aware, never mind the physical fitting them in, and then the connections for the pre-tensioners. Just going to have to buy the new ones ![]() The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive? ![]() |

Offline | I knew the JCW seats didn't come with airbags as per the constant reminder on my dash! BMW charge 70 pounds for the light to be taken out. But can it be done? Rams |

| Remember | But on the old car there was the option to have the airbag system set for the JCW seats, there isn't in the new car, so would/could play havoc, that is if you even dared to try to physically get them in there. I'd think they'd look a little small in the cabin too compared to the old car and a bit out of place, but just IMO The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive? ![]() |

Offline | The biggest difference you'll run intoi is the seat rails. The older mounting rails are narrower that the R56's. I'm sure you could do a custom adaptor or somthing... but it won't be a simple/straight swap. ![]() Founding member of R56 Anonymous: "Hello. My name is Mike. Offline | I asked if the reverse was possible and was told ‘no’ due to the mounting rails being different. Shame as the new JCW seats are gorgeous. Sell your olds ones and use the money to buy the new ones, it'll finish your car off nicely.![]() Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | Where can I find pics of the new ones? Every idea I have Rams seems to be one step behind/infront of me ![]() - which leads me to my next question... have you fitted Dares yet rams? I think mine are hitting the wheel arch if I go down a pot hole (need to check this weekend - only did it once, don't intend on aiming for potholes) |
