yes Ive finally gone and done it

if any one is thinking about having this amp/speaker upgrade

its a must

the sound is amazing.the only problem is now i am going deaf

Which upgrade did you go for and how much was it fitted? Worried now as I've ordered a new MCS with standard boost and last MCS had the HK system....

Seriously though - you would be surprised how many clips bolts & screws we are finding as we strip them

Boost........................speakers are crap and cant handle the bass. sound quality poor

Hifi.....................speakers still cant handle the bass,but sound quality is better and volume levels are low

Mikey's upgrade............this system does every thing you would expect.Bass is amazing,sound quality is superb and the volume levels are mind blowing

People can hear me coming from miles away

Thing i really like about this system is its all hidden

and the would be thief doesn't know its there

unless they read this of course

The Hi Fi Upgrades is not as good as the Harmon Kardon on the R53 is it?

I find the MINI hifi upgrade more than loud enough.

Quality, not quantity.
I have the HiFi and it's nice.
But it's not clean and it isn't anywhere near audiophile quality...

Is there an easy mod to clean it up a bit?

I ordered 'hifi' and am really dissapointed with it

your right, it cant handle bass and is not a patch on Harman kardon in my old R53
Is there anything we can do to improve it that aint gonna break the bank????

What are your bass, treble & fader settings?

I have mine something like

Bass 0
Treble +1
Fader -5

No problems unless it is really bass heavy music, if it is, I turn the bass down a notch.

I'm sure the hifi is not a patch on Mikey's upgrade, but it is cheaper and also a long drive to Mikey's.
