Interior Lights

Whilst I'm not complaining about the multi-coloured lights inside the car I'm at a loss as to their point - They are not strong enough to be really noticed or to have an effect........especially the ones behind the door arm rest ! and how much would you use them anyway. I would rather have had LED rear lights as standard than these fairy lights

They show up pretty well on blue....agree with you on the rear lights....much prefer LED lamp clusters.
Its odd BMW missed that premium trick on the new MINI I thought they would at least twin them with the xenon headlights as they do on the 1 series and there other models

The theory put forward by one of my friends is that some engineer at MINI noticed there was a space for a spare switch so they just *had* to fit something!

It is rather pointless I admit, but the geeky part of me really likes the fact that there's a switch so you can change the colour of the lights.

Just a pity it doesn't change the colour of the dash too!

It was supposed to change the colours of the dash too but unfortunately BMW bean counters got involved and it's now just a gimmicky option.

It was acceptable in the 80's
