Optional Mini Alarm System

When purchasing my new R56 there was an optional alarm system. As it cost an arm an leg for the option, I opted not to add it on.

However, the other day, on another parked R56, I noticed that above the rev counter red lights started to blink. I assume the owner had the alarm option.

Now, I am wondering whether it is possible to get some sort of wiring going to activate those lights while the car is parked, giving one the feeling that the car is equipped with an alarm? I checked the oem parts listing and apparently the rev counter comes as a whole, so I suppose all of the rev coun ters will have those red blinking lights installed, whether with or without the alarm option.

Yes the parts are the same. So all you need to do is find the correct wires from the rev counter and the correct power to supply and you can make it light up.

It was acceptable in the 80's
