Offline | R56 Chrome Trim Rings. Easy Install? I got my MINI off the showroom floor so it did not have the Chrome Trim Rings it has the standard grey. I reallly want the chrome. ![]() I called my local MINI dealer and its like 300 bucks for alll the chrome trim. Because you have to get the whole speedo piece and vent pieces. They just dont sell the "chrom ring pieces" they are attached to the speedo etc, parts. ![]() My question is has anyone went ahead and added the chrome trim to their R56? What kind of process was it. Was it at all easy? All help would be appreciated. ![]() I FOUND MY ANSWER ON NAM LOL. THANKS ANYWAY ![]() |

Offline | It is true, the factory fitted chrome rings come with different housings and other different bits and pieces. To chaneg them should not be too difficult if you know a little bit around cars. Honestly, I would not recommend spending so much for the oem set and pay for parts you really do not need. Wait a little while and and aftermarket version should be available where you just fit it over the existing parts. Saves you the hassle and casts less too! |

Offline | My MCS came with the standard silver rings and not chrome. It wasn't made clear when i ordered the car that there was a differance between the "additional decor rings" and "chrome rings" So i will be on the lookout for some aftermarket rings as well. |
