Offline | Does anyone know a way to make the track title come up on the screen when listening to MP3s? I know it does if you press 'list' but otherwise on mine it simply comes up with Track1 Track 2 etc. Ideally I would like the normal view (ie not the 'list' view) but to have the track title displayed rather - is this possible? Just bought a Mini Cooper S !! |

| MINI2 Regular | Just MP3s I'm afraid. Spent hours last night playing with iTunes creating a playlist then converting AACs to MP3s (which I left to run overnight because it took so damn long on my ancient computer), taking out protected ones because they can't be converted Grrrrr, then burning my disc (via iTunes using the "Burn MP3 CD" option). Easy.... It's amazing. Plays all tracks but you can scroll through the ablbums with the knob on the stereo then click it to get the folder contents (album tracks). My preferred view is the "track" view giving you track name and artist on the screen. So much neater and easier to use than trailling an aux cable across the car attached to an ipod and a lot cheaper than having the iPod interface. |

| Back To My Old Self | Sorry if I'm pointing out something you already know but AACs can be converted to mp3 in a round about way. Create a playlist of all your protected AAC files and burn them to a CD-R or RW to save on discs. This will need to be a music CD, so may be a long process if you buy all your music from itunes. Then reimport them with "import as mp3" selected . Oh and don't forget to import all your CDs as mp3 format in future![]() ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | Yup, cheers, know that but really didn't have the time to go faffing around with that. Have done it a few times before but at 11.30pm last night (after cleaning my interior to showroom condition) I decided I didn't want an ipod with a marathon of cable cluttering up my cup holder. Wanted an MP3 CD "quick" and converting AACs (purchased) to MP3 takes long enough without the kerfuffle of burn to CD, rip to computer, burn to CD, rip to computer ad infinitum.......... Thank god a lot of my recent itunes purchases aren't protected - makes life so much easier. And yup, have import CDs set to MP3. Hi Matt! Didn't know it did WMAs.... but then never use the things anyway. |
