R56 MCS nav & bluetooth
Before I ask the dealer, can anyone suggest why the voice control doesn't work? there is no audio tone or icon on the nav screen when the button on the mfsw is pressed.
Am I missing something obvious?
The nav system talks ok.
Have nearly worn the instruction manual out looking for clues, any help gratefully received.

Silly question: Did you specify the voice control? I thought it was an extra £200 option.

Ive just ordered sat nav and it automatically added voice control on, but I think you can specify you dont want it as dealer demo had sat nav but no voice control.

I just went on mini.co.uk and specd sat nav, it didnt tick the voice comand when i selected it, just the auto A/C as expected.

I had nav on my first R56 without voice comand, and when I picked up my 2nd R56 i specd voice but it wasnt working so it had to go in software update. Its cool a toy, I use is a lot but the Mrs forgets about it

Think you have to spec nav and bluetooth together for the configurator to tick voice control. I use it quite a lot....although I have got over the novelty of seeng what it does if I swear at it now...

Cant help with the original question though as mine worked ok from the off...

What a con!!!! or is just a mistake on the configurator

I didnt spec voice at first just bluetooth and nav, then ali @ woodys told me about voice, so i added it

Thanks for the answers so far, using the configurator, speccing nav & bluetooth automatically checks voice control.

Voice control is included as part of the bluetooth kit is it not.

I don't have satnav but do have the bluetooth kit. And my car talks to me and it seems to understand me when i talk back!

ahh but that is just the phone funtionality
