Hello all

I have been quoted, by Scothall borehamwood, £319+vat to have the iPod kit installed in my Cooper S.

Williams BMW in Manchester quoted £271 inc VAT.

As Manchester is a little far for me to go I was wondering if you guys think £319+vat is a rip off? And if so, do you know a cheaper dealership price?

Mine is cheaper at £250 inc Vat fitted BUT this was part of a deal on my new Cooper S.

I had been given a better trade-in price on my Cooper convertible from another dealer, so I was given a few sweeteners from the dealer I went with to use them. They did say it had caused a few ructions as I originally wanted to pay for the unit at £195 only, and get all the fitting free, but as it was quite a long job to fit they wanted me to pay a nominal £50.

I didn't think this was too bad BUT I thoughts most of the fitting had to do with updating the software - so not sure how labour intensive that is for £90 per hour.

I got mine for £250...but that was negotiated as part of the deal on my car...
