Offline | Starting today we are running a promotion on our upgrade for the poor audio system in the R56 Mini. Until the end of the month we are offering £70 + vat discount off the fitted price. So depending on the option you fitted it will become £530 + vat or £575 + vat fitted. This system transforms the audio without taking up any space The speakers are fitted in the factory holes (optional pillar mounts available for the tweeters) The amplifier is fitted under the seat (hole cut in carpet under seat) The amplifier is 500 watts The front speakers are 300 watt Clarions - 16.5cm mid woofer, crossover & awesome tweeters Rear speakers are 350 watt kenwoods We also add sound deadening. This all runs from your factory stereo. If you fancy the offer but can't get it done before the end of October then go on my site, buy it & select collect from shop. We will then keep a package to one side for when you are ready NewMINIStuff.com This offer also applies to the new Mini Clubman Last edited by mikeythemini : Oct 31st, 2007 at 09:10 AM. |

Offline | Mike What differences does relocating the tweeters to the A-pillars make compared to the standard location? Are the A-pillar tweeter holes in all R56's even those without the factory hifi upgrade? Finally, my R56 will not be arriving until Jan 08 (!), will it be still OK to set one aside that long? Regards Skim |

Offline | It brings the sound stage forward & higher No A pillar tweeter holes are only there on cars with hi fi option. If you go with my option for them in the A pillars I fit hifi pillar trims but put my tweeters in them Yes you can hold a pack at this price for as long as you like providing you pre book it as above ![]() |

Offline | More info on this system We use a 500 watt kenwood amplifier which we fit under the front seat, just the top of it protrudes though the carpet. It can only be seen with the seat fully forward & tilted for access. In the pic s you can see it fits just forward of the optional floor mats |

Offline | The tweeters are again Clarion & are super bright We can either mount them in the door positions or for a small extra charge can fit the Mini hifi a pillars & mount them in there. If you are replacing the Mini Hifi system then the tweeters will be mounted in your exisiting a pillars |

Offline | Hi Mike, I spoke to you last week regarding getting my sound improved. I have the Mini Hi-Fi and for me it isn't good enough. I see that you charge more for the A-Pillar setup but considering this is already done, due to having hi-fi, would you only charge me the normal price? Also, the main reason I'd think about getting this done is for improved bass. Would you say that I'd notice a vast improvement with your system? I'm not looking for my system to shake the windows of homes as I drive by so nothing too mental. Thanks |

Offline | Hi Boyd, Mikes put a similar setup in my car (I think the rear speakers are different though), and once the speakers were bedded in, the bass is very good! Also, I can't praise Mikes work enough... his attention to detail is excellent. Just a thought, If you don't fancy the trip all the way up to Mikes to try it, you're more than welcome to have a listen to my stereo first I'm always floating around the South East.Jon ![]() |

Offline | Hi - if your upgrading from the mini hifi to my system then you can go for the lower cost option as you already have the pillar trims ![]() It is an all roubnd improvment - the fronts get more bass as they are bigger & better The rears also are better & more power going through all. We do also have a subwoofer if your into your drum & bass ![]() ![]() |
