DIY Seatbelt holder

Someone gave me a link to the BMW parts catalog, now I'm really dangerous!
RealOEM.COM * BMW R56 Cooper BELT HOLDER

Has anyone got this seatbelt holder? I need something to stop the drivers 'belt getting stuck down the side of the seat before I put it on.

Now, what else can I order....

Yep i got a pair of these. They work fine on the R56. Didn't work as well on the R53.

As long as you don't want access to the rear seats very often then they're great.

I've found a US site that says they're rubbish:
MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring - Headrest removal...How?

Do the belts get in the way? I suppose they would - 'Clubman style'!

I got them in my R56 and they are only a little improvement. They only work a little better when the seats are fairly placed back. They snap off when pulled on the seat belts to hard and abruptly.

These just annoy me beyond belief - as valk009 says they snap at the hinges ALL the time. Mine lasted about a week and have been in the glovebox ever since.
Do yourself a favour and keep your £20.00 in your pocket!!

They only snap if you put the seat forward without unhooking the seatbelt. You'd have to unhook the belt to let someone in the back, so no problem. I agree if you need access to the back seats regularly then it would be a pain, but i don't so work well for me.

They also snap if you pull your seatbelt too hard when putting it on.

Before I buy the holders I've been experimenting with putting the retaining clip for the buckle up high, and that seems to solve most of the problems I was having. Given the comments above I think I'll try living without them!
