Offline | Right so I ditched the CD changer and have specced the Ipod Interface and bought me an Ipod ![]() I didnt spec Bluetooth in the end ![]() Ive been thinking about it again recently though, and again looking on NewMiniStuff. I came across this 'Bluetooth kit for R56 - Parrot evo with MFSW integration'. Can anyone explain to me how it works? Mikey? |

Offline | I have the ipod integration on my Nov06 MCS and Mikey subsequently installed the "Bluetooth with MFSW" for me. The phone sits on a cradle and to receive a call I press the top button on the MFSW. To end a call I press the lower button. I am using a Nokia 6310 which has voice tags so i have tagged my commonly used numbers. To call one of them I press the top button on the MFSW and say the tag name. It then makes the call. The phone cuts the radio/Ipod and plays through the speakers. There is nothing to see except a tiny mike by the door frame. I am very pleased with it. It took Mikey most of an afternoon to install while I had a few cups of coffee in the Tesco opposite. |

Offline | I didn't spec the bluetooth in my new one, didn't think they were the worth the money tbh. I think a trip up to Mikey's is in order for the sound upgrade and bluetooth later this year! Does anyone know how the ipod adaptor works? Can you go through the songs on the ipod click wheel? Because I've got 14000 songs on mine and going through the albums/artists on the boost could take a little while... |

Offline | Depends if you've asked for the Ipod Interface to be fitted in the top storage compartment, if so, the Ipod can be controlled using the MFSW. If not, and you are just using the Aux-In socket and a cable then I believe it has to be controlled on the Ipod itself ![]() |

Offline | Jo, I meant the ipod interface with the boost (so in the secret compartment) but I didn't want the MFSW. The aux-in is easy enough, just wanted a bit more sound quality so just wanted to see how the above set-up works... You get me...?? ![]() |

Offline | Cool, if I go for it, I dont want a seperate screen, so that sounds perfect! ![]() And to have it all linked in the with MFSW is good too, and im guessing it wont work with the nav screen? Is there a limit to what phones it works with? |

Offline | The ipod interface is quite cool. When you select the CDC option you are presented with 6 CDs on the radio buttons If you select CD 1 then it starts playing thru your playlists. CD 2 is listing by artist CD 3 is listing by album (I think the others are by track name etc but I just use option 2) When the tracks begin playing you will be presented with the track name in the middle of the display and various options on the radio buttons below such as random etc. Towards the right there is a "LIST" option. If you hit this then most of the display is taken away and you can just see the present track and the next track listed below and in the right hand corner there is an up arrow. This is how I use mine. The selector knob now simulates the ipod wheel and you press it to select the artist/track etc. The button on the right of the radio goes back up the menu. The buttons on the MFSW do the ipod left and right functions of the ipod wheel (ie prev / next track). |

Offline | A few piccies Ipod lives in here (cables a bit long though) ![]() The screen locks out when connected... ![]() Initially the radio looks like this... (I've selected option 2) ![]() And then you press "List" to get to this view ![]() Press the up arrow to get to "artist" or move up the structure ![]() The + sign at the left indicates that you can expand that title to show tracks. If you then turn the knob you can change artist for example and then press to show tracks.. ![]() The only drawback is that you either list by artist and then track or album and then track, you cant select artist, then an album and then a track? You just get all the artists tracks listed together but the selector knob is pretty swift to wiz thru to the right track. |
