Offline | USB Ipod summary I've searched for informations in this forum about USB and Ipod connections. i would like to make a summary to be sure that i understand well. 1) If you connect a USB memory stick, you can access your MP3 but you can't select by artist/album/genre 2) With a memory stick, you navigate in the folders like a PC file explorer 3) If i use the BMW ipod cable (with the dock connection on one side and the mini Jack out and USB on the other side), i can connect an ipod and have acces to the selection by artists/albums/genre. Also with that connection i can read the itunes downloaded protected itunes files (which i can't read otherwise) If all that is correct, i don't understand the difference between the ipod's music navigation and the memory stick's music navigation. Why one is limited to folder's navigations and the other can be selected by artists/albums/genre? It's USB connection for both, so it's the car who does audio decoding. Please, can someone explain me if i understand everything correctly. |
