Offline | Cable for connecting iPod to "AUX" port Sorry if this is covered elsewhere ![]() What cable would you recommend for connecting an iPod to the AUX port on the R56 stereo? I know that the quality won't be great but interested to know what you think would work best. Price should, of course, be affordable ![]() Thanks ![]() Red/Black R56 Cooper |

Offline | The sound actually is better if you use an iPod to stereo cable and bypass using the headphone jack. Here's an example: |

Offline | The sound is definitely better when the aux input uses the iPod dock connector instead of the headphone jack. In the UK, the Ziplinq cable (and others similar) is available from amazon.co.uk. There is a black dock cable on |

Offline | The Ziplinq cable has a far better sound than the standard headphone jack. I've got a really good quality 3.5mm headphone to aux in and then bought the Ziplinq cable on a whim and the sound difference is noticeable. It's a bit flimsy if anything is wrong with it, but definitely worth getting if you don't have the ipod adaptor option. |

Offline | I have a belkin 3.5mm male to male cable using a Monster iPlay car charger and the sound quality is more than adequate. Then again the limiting factor here is the poor factory boost audio system! .: R56 Cooper S : Dyno'd 192bhp :. ![]() .: H&R Springs : JCW Discs : Forge BOV : Alta CAI :. |

Offline | Sorry if this is covered anywhere else (can't find it), but we've just got a Zen (Creative) - so Mikey, I take it the same cables mentioned earlier will do through the standard port? If so we'll have some off you. If anyone knows anything about what should be displayed on the standard R56 Cooper stereo screen and/or the Zen (if anything!) that would be a great help. It's the Zen 4gb mp3, vid, photo jobby if that helps....... Thanks, John ![]() "He fell for her like his heart was a mob informant, and she was the East River." |
