Offline | Reccommend decent Voice tag phone for Parrot Handsfree?? We have the Parrot Retro fit handsfree with MFSW voice activation in an 07 CooperD ![]() Thing is my wife currently has a Nokia 6230i on which you can record all your own voice tags and the handsfree will reccognise all the tags great! ![]() ...But the phone is well past it, and as we have always used Nokias I have been on the lookout for something to replace it. The problem I'm finding is that; all the newer models with the voice dial seem to generate their own voice tags based on what you have typed in as an entry in the phonebook, and then turn it into a Si-Fi computer generated warble ![]() - which can never be replicated!!! ( I have yet to get my 6233 to find the correct contact using this function)Are there any decent Nokias out there that still let you record your own tags? or are there any good alternative makes out there that will do this? Lastly, I seem to remember that there is a function to let you record all the tags onto the Parrot kit itself, but from memory you have to record the name, then send a business card to the system, then repeat for every other number that you may want to dial in your car ! ( I don't think Michelle would sit in the car long enough for me to go right through her phonebook to do all this! )![]() |

Offline | Did I say something wrong? ![]() I personally don't think any of the new Nokia's are all that great! I had a 6233 which was forever going wrong. My other half has a 6111 which has been replaced 3 times and is still giving bother. I remember the Ericsson T68 that I had many years ago that is still working perfectly (if not a little slow by todays standards). The Sony Ericsson K800i that I've has for the past year was flawless and the battery still lasts for days even though its a year old, and I've just got the new K850i which is even better again. And I can record my own voice tags! Anyway that's my two cents! 2007 Pepper White/Black - MINI Cooper D ![]() Complete with Go Faster 'Bonnet' Stripes! |
