Must be where your body scrapes along the seats when you get in and out.

hey, i have the R50 style JCW seats and found out you can get them painted. Had my few scuffs done and you wouldent know they had been there now. Cost £60.

u have to treat them with care and not take for granted a lot of things as you do in cloth seats

any trousers with buttons on the back pockets are a nightmare as they can tear the seats!

also use the best polish n conditioner u can to ensure the leather doesnt get covered in dirt, which is why most look terrible

Correct, had it happen on the last two cars I had with JCW seats, no way to stop it other than to get in the car lifting your backside over the lip, placing yourself into the centre of the seat everytime, and conditioning them regularly.

I did speak to my dealer about this, and he said it is classed as general wear and tear, and not a manufacturing fault.

Its only a forum you know!
