I consider the Boost (with Hi-Fi speaker option) to be pretty impressive, near to the BOSE system I had in a previous Audi. I do understand that some people like loads of bass though ... but this is usually overemphasised bass, and not what it is 'meant' to sound like .

I agree with you 100%

I'm sure Mikey's more expensive system is better, but I am perfectly happy with my hifi upgrade in my R56 Cooper/

I like my hifi / boost set up but realise that its got its limitations. I would be interested to investigate some sort of active sub which could connect into the wiring in the boot. You'd need an active crossover to filter out the sub bass which would leave the existing amp and speakers to handle the higher frequencies?
