Another Bluetooth thread....

Hi guys. We have 3 R56 MINIs and have decided that they need bluetooth handsfree. I will be responsible for fitting them so.....how difficult i it to get behind the sterio? I will be buying the kits from MikeyTheMini and they come with all the looms and instructions...but has anyone followed these instructions? And if so how difficult was it?

Cheers

One word of caution Adam - I note you have an iphone
The iphone doesnt have voice dial, so to make a call you have to use the phone with the parrot evo (We can provide a cradle to make this legal)
OR
you can go for the parrot 3100 which will download your phone book from the iphone so you can scroll through it or then record your own voice tags into the parrot kit

Hi

Sorry to sound stupid but am I right in assuming that mikey fits bluetooth into minis?

I've just ordered a brand new mini and have been contemplating getting the bluetooth/usb package but really not sure as it's a lot of money.

Does whatever you fit in mikey invalidate the warranty?

Do you guys think it is worth paying the £500 to get the whole package from mini? Wouldn't mind some opinions!

And sorry to sound daft but where exactly is the 'capital of culture'?

Help/advice would be greatly appreciated as I have about 3 days left to tell my dealer if I want bluetooth or not

Mike will fit any ICE (in car entertainment), Bluetooth phone kits etc into any car especially MINIs. he is probably the most knowledgeable person about ICE and MINIS.

The 'capital of culture' for 2008 is Liverpool, Mikey is in Formby. So not too far from you.
address etc is on the web site NewMINIStuff.com

I am sure that if you talk to him he will give you the best advice

Thanks Alan.

Course it's Liverpool duh!! LOL

I assume I will need a multi purpose steering wheel for it to work most effectively.

I will try and private message Mikey if I can work out how!

If you are going to spec the multi functional steering wheel then I personally think you should just pay the £500 and get it all integrated. Otherwise Mikey is the best guy....
